Commute Smarter, Save More

All university parking permits must be purchased using the Parking Portal. The portal may also be used to update your vehicle information and cancel your parking permit. Log in to the portal with your UMass Boston credentials.

The UMass Boston Office of Transportation Services is here to help you access our campus, whether you are coming by car, bus, bike, or foot. Transportation Services is committed to providing safe and affordable multi-modal transportation options to all our community members to reduce traffic congestion and single occupancy vehicles (SOV) on campus, and to improve air pollution.

Use the interactive campus map to find food, vending machines, and other amenities. You can also print our transportation map or find campus buildings on our mobile app

Enrollment Election

Transit and (Offsite) Parking FSA

Through the Qualified Transportation Benefits Program (QTBP), you are eligible for a pre-tax benefit program that includes both offsite parking and transit related expenses. QTBP is administered by Voya and allows you to have transit and/or offsite parking expenses deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.  Pre-tax limits and reimbursement eligibility are subject to the IRS’s rules and regulations

  • How To Enroll: Employees need to enroll directly through VOYA. If you want to participate in both the Transit and Parking programs you must make elections in each benefit’s section on the election form.
  • How to Change Your Election: You may change or opt out of the program at any point during the plan year. To modify your participation in the plan, you simply access the enrollment form. Once you submit the form, a copy of the request will be sent to Voya and a copy is also sent to your division’s appointed payroll contact, whom will make the necessary updates to payroll to reflect your requested change.
