All faculty and staff (including retirees) are eligible to purchase individual memberships. This includes use of the Beacon Fitness Center, swimming pool, ice arena (during open recreation time), and Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium (during open recreation time).

The UMass Discount Program offers savings on a variety of products and services, from everyday items to gifts and experiences. Covered employees may proactively elect to terminate coverage during Annual Enrollment (but not during the plan year). The U.S Department of Treasury offers a service called TreasuryDirect which allows individuals to set up accounts online to buy and redeem Treasury securities, including saving bonds. To participate in the Department of Treasury plan, employees need to take the following steps:

1. Set up a TreasuryDirect account with the Department of Treasury.
2. Log into the UMass HRDirect Self Service and set up a new direct deposit. Employees need to enter their new treasury account information as well as the biweekly amount that want deposited to this new account.
